Plant Conservation Organisations

Naturescape wild flower farm produces numerous native species of wildflowers and grasses, seed collections, meadows, lawns, climbers, wild rose plants, shrubs, trees, hedge plants, pond, marsh, bulbs, corms and more.

Do you find identification of plants confusing? Do you flick through wildflower guides trying to remember what the plant you saw looked like? Have you struggled over complex botanical keys? If, like me, you answered yes to these questions, then the Reticule system might be what you need.

British Trees is a non-profit website dedicated to sharing information about the many different facets of knowledge about trees and forests. It has sections on British trees, trees and the environment, cultivation, permaculture and agroforestry and lots more!

The Association of British Fungus Groups is the UK’s leading voluntary fungus conservation body. ABFG members are all amateur enthusiasts who want to broaden their interest in fungi and to help with the conservation of mushrooms and toadstools.

The Botanical Society of the British Isles is for everyone who is interested in the flora of Britain and Ireland. The society traces its origins back to 1836, when it was founded as the Botanical Society of London.

The Botanical Society of Scotland is unique in being the only British botanical society with a keen interest in both flowering and non-flowering plants (e.g. algae, mosses, ferns and fungi).

The Eden Project is a living demonstration of regeneration and that aims to reconnect people with their environments locally and globally.

Flora Locale is a registered charity that encourages, across Britain and Ireland, the wise use of wild plants for planting schemes that have wildlife in mind.

The Small Woods Association is Britain’s leading organisation in supporting and promoting the work done by the owners and carers of small woodlands.

Plantlife International is a charity dedicated exclusively to conserving all forms of plant life in their natural habitats, in the UK, Europe and across the world. The charity has 12,000 members and owns 23 nature reserves.

Throughout its history, the Royal Botanic Gardens Kew has made important contributions to increasing the understanding of the plant kingdom with many benefits for mankind. Today it is still first and foremost a scientific institution.

The Tree Council promotes the planting and conservation of trees in town and countryside. The lead UK tree campaigning partnership, it is an umbrella body for 150 organisations working together for trees.
