
The Barn Owl Trust is a registered charity
dedicated to conserving the Barn Owl and its environment and is
the main source of Barn Owl information in the UK.

There are 17 species of bat in the UK, all of which are
protected by law because their numbers have decreased so
dramatically. The Bat Conservation Trust is
working towards a world where bats and people live in harmony.

Buglife is the only organisation in Europe
devoted to the conservation of all invertebrates, and is
actively engaged in saving Britain's rarest little animals,
everything from bees to beetles, and spiders to snails.

Butterfly Conservation's purpose is to secure a
lasting future for all native butterflies, moths and their
habitats within the UK. Their ultimate goal is to help restore a
balanced countryside with butterflies and other wildlife
restored to the profusion that they, and we, once enjoyed.

The Council for National Parks is the national charity that
works to protect and enhance the National Parks of England and
Wales, and areas that merit National Park status, and promote
understanding and quiet enjoyment of them for the benefit of
all.

Dolphins all around our coast are being killed at an alarming
rate, and it is Dolphin Care UK's mission to
help stop the needless killing of these beautiful creatures.

The Game and Wildlife Conservation Trust conducts scientific research into
Britain’s game and wildlife. They advise farmers and landowners
on improving wildlife habitat and lobby for agricultural and
conservation policies based on science.

The Herpetological Conservation Trust (The HCT) is a UK based
charity and charitable company established to further the
conservation of amphibians and reptiles (collectively known as
herpetofauna).

The Marine Conservation Society (MCS) is the UK charity
dedicated to caring for our seas, shores and wildlife. MCS
campaigns for clean seas and beaches, sustainable fisheries,
protection of marine life and habitats, and the sensitive use of
our marine resources for future generations.

The Badger Trust promotes
the conservation and welfare of badgers and the protection of
their setts and habitats. They are the leading voice for badgers
and represent and support around 80 local voluntary badger
groups.

The National Trust works to preserve and protect the coastline,
countryside and buildings of England, Wales and Northern
Ireland. In total the NT looks after 617,500 acres (250,000
hectares) of countryside, moorland, beaches and coastline.

The Royal Society for the
Protection of Birds is driven by a passionate belief that we all
have a responsibility to protect birds and the environment. The
need for an effective bird conservation organisation has never
been greater. Climate change, agricultural intensification,
expansion of urban areas and transport infrastructure, and
over-exploitation of our seas all pose major threats to birds.

The Whale and Dolphin Conservation Society (WDCS) is the world's
most active charity dedicated to the conservation and welfare of
all whales, dolphins and porpoises (also known as cetaceans).

The Wildfowl and Wetlands
Trust aims to save wetlands and their wildlife and raise
awareness of the issues that affect their survival. To enhance
people’s lives through learning about and being close to nature
and inspiring them to help WWT’s conservation work worldwide.

The Wildlife Trusts
are comprised of 47 local Wildlife Trusts across the whole of
the UK. They are working for an environment rich in wildlife for
everyone and with 670,000 members, they are the largest UK
voluntary organisation dedicated to conserving the full range of
the UK's habitats and species.
