Senior Land and Fisheries Officer  OPEN

Salary £25,000+ depending on experience

WRT requires a Senior Land and Fisheries Officer (permanent contract) to work in the South Hams area of South Devon.

The successful applicant will be motivated to apply and deepen their understanding of freshwater fisheries science, ecology and agricultural land-use systems. A large part of this role will involve interaction with a diverse range of stakeholders; particularly farmers, angling associations, government agencies, NGO’s and the wider public.  Therefore strong interpersonal skills are essential in addition to academic qualifications and applied scientific and agricultural experience.

The project will involve significant amounts of fieldwork. The successful candidate will have highly developed organisational and time management skills to project manage the delivery of river restoration, fish passes and easements to a tight schedule.
